Karen Pinette Fontaine is from Uashat Mak Mani-Utenam Innu First Nation. This singer-songwriter has a folk-pop style, but each of her songs carries its own sound. Music has been part of her life since she was a child and she started playing with a collective. In her solo show, Karen Pinette Fontaine plays the ukulele, which gives a particular color to her songs. She mainly practices her compositions at home and is inspired by her own life experiences.
