Biography

The Muskrat Singers, from Sitansisk (St. Mary's), New Brunswick, have been a mainstay of the pow-wow scene for 28 years. With members such as Percy Sacobie, Mark Brooks, Doug Finnie, Glenn Bernard, Brad Thibodeau, Kyle Sacobie, Rodney Bear and Noel Bear, they carry on an ancestral tradition. In addition to sharing the rhythms and songs of their ancestors, they preserve the endangered Wolastoqey language through their music, and now look forward to singing alongside their children and grandchildren for generations to come.
