June 21 – National Indigenous Peoples’ Day
Join us at the Old Port of Montreal for a meaningful civic ceremony to mark the summer solstice.
This year, the event commemorates the 325th anniversary of the Great Peace of Montreal, a defining moment in our history rooted in respect, dialogue, and the coming together of peoples.
On the program:
• Traditional ceremony with Elders of the Mohawk Nation
• Drumming, ceremonial fire, and speeches
• Festive procession to Place Royale
Then continue the experience at Place Royale with Pointe-à-Callière’s neighborhood festival:
Powwow dancing, musical storytelling, and music with DJ Poptrt.
