Hank Gromelski is a Mi'kmaq singer-songwriter originally from Connecticut, USA, and has now lived in Gesgapegiag for 20 years. Over the years, Hank has divided his time between several passions: being a dedicated teacher to his students, a plant lover, a salmon guide for 8 seasons on the Grand Cascapedia River... and a musician with hidden talent. Hank aspires to be a multi-talented human. Behind the scenes, the Mi'kmaq American-Canadian artist brings out his endearing and jovial personality, always proudly putting forth who he is. Noticed in 2013 by Musique Nomade, it’s in 2021 during a stopover in Carleton-sur-Mer that he comes back in force and records his first EP, Enali, with the MN team (Simon Walls) which he describes as dark-country, americanada with rock-alternative, indie-folk melodies.
