Napess is a Naskapi-Innu singer-songwriter from Kawawachikamach, a small community on the northern border of Quebec and Labrador. Born into a musical family and inspired by his father Yvon Vollant and uncle Florent Vollant, Napess learned to play guitar and write his own music at an early age. Following the release of his first single, Ashtem Nasheu, a lively folk song with a touch of harmonica, he unveils the songs Ni Wichawakin and Anisheniushu, which appear on the compilation album On the Road - Kawawachikamach (Deluxe).
