Biography
Kim Arseneault, originally from W8linak (born in Trois-Rivières), is an Abenaki passionate about her nation's culture and history. After experimenting with a first creative studio with Wapikoni in 2022, she decided to pursue film studies at the Kiuna college in the winter of 2023. She uses cinema as a healing tool and a voice for breaking taboos, while highlighting the richness of Abenaki culture. Her greatest source of inspiration remains Arielle, her daughter, for whom she wants to build a better future by showing her through her films that an Abenaki woman is capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to.
