Biography
Celyne is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans singing, drumming, songwriting, painting, sewing, beadwork, and voice acting. Influenced by 1970s and 1980s rock’n’roll, she moved to Toronto to immerse herself in the local First Nations music scene and perform with an all-female hand drum group.
Through her lyrics and performances, the story of Turtle Island — both erased and unforgotten — comes to life, offering a musical experience that is unique, soothing, and deeply rooted in her cultural identity.
