Émily Mowatt is an Anicinabe artist and singer from the Pikogan community in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Émily regularly sings Anicinabe nursery rhymes with her sister Alice, taught by their grandmother. From an early age, they felt called to pass on their knowledge and values of their nation to the next generation of their community. Produced during a Musique Nomade stopover and in collaboration with Minwashin, the Mowatt sisters unveil the song Kaneo, handed down by their grandmother, with the aim of bringing joy and love into people's hearts.
