MATCITIM

MATCITIM - (ma-dji-tim) a.k.a. Tim Ruperthouse is an Anishinaabe singer-songwriter from the community of Pikogan, in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec. Recorded and produced remotely in 2021 in the middle of a confinement, with producer Simon Walls (Musique nomade) MATCITIM - (ma-dji-tim) launching its first EP of the same name in the spring of 2022.  Sung in Anishinaabemowin and English, it explores heavy rock sounds, influenced by the riffs of System of a Down, the voice of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the electric guitar of Megadeth.
