Benoit Nolin

Benoit Nolin is an Innu singer-songwriter from the Ekuanitshit community on Quebec's North Shore. In 2022, Benoit independently released his first opus, Innu Shadow Nitassinan. Inspired by artists such as Kenny Rogers and Alan Jackson, Benoit is passionate about country music, which he describes as “swinging” with a joyful, infectious energy. In November 2023, with the Musique Nomade team during their stopover in Ekuanitshit, he recorded his country song Ute Ueshkat, which means "Once, here" in Innu-aimun.
