Biography

Anne-Pier, affectionately nicknamed Anne-Pien by her loved ones, is a young Innu artist who has been passionate about music since early childhood. As a baby, she would hum along to the lullabies her mother sang to her — and before long, she began singing on her own. She started singing at the age of five, naturally developing a gentle and expressive voice.

Together with her sister Anne-Sophie, she took singing lessons in Baie-Comeau, where she performed in various shows and refined her talent. The sisters have sung at the Fête des Innus and at several weddings, sharing their love of music with their community.

During Musique Nomade’s stopover in Pessamit, Anne-Pien recorded her first song, revealing a unique musical sensitivity and a beautiful artistic bond with her sister. She is part of a new generation of Indigenous artists who are proud of their culture and determined to make it shine.
