Arctistic

Nicolas Pirti-Duplessis (Arctistic) learned guitar from his father first, and then on his own. He plays guitar since the age of 14. The same year, he performed for the first time in public. Originally from Akulivik, he was inspired by bands like Metallica, Nirvana and Linkin Park, we can guess that his style diverts from them. He formed the band Arctistic, in which he plays with members he knows since a young age.

His first album, Ukiuq, was released in November 2019, but due to the pandemic, he had to postpone its promotion. Then he released his second album, Anirniq, in 2023. His biggest success is Home, released in his first album, talking about wanting to go back home.

For Nicolas, music is to reassemble, he likes to watch bands coming together for festivals in the villages.
