Biography
Charlie Penosway is an Anicinabe singer-songwriter from the Kitcisakik community in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Passionate about the guitar, Charlie learned to play his instrument at an early age from a village elder. He now uses music as a means of comfort, and hopes to convey a message of hope and inspire others. Produced during a Musique Nomade stopover and in collaboration with Minwashin, he unveils the song Hommage aux personnes perdues, dedicated to the members and friends of his band Uapan Maikan, and the country-pop song Kitci Sakik.
