Biography
Evan Sacobie, wolastoqey artist, guides souls with the bewitching rhythm of the hand drum (pokhokalkon) and the clapper (kcikuptohikon). His songs are prayers in music, carrying profound meanings and sacred instructions. During ceremonies, Evan offers a spiritual connection uniting hearts with earth and spirit. He shares these traditional Wolastoqey songs, such as Children First and Love Song, generously, wanting others to learn and sing them, carrying on his community's tradition with respect and love. These songs are treasures of Wolastoqey culture, celebrating love, family and the sacred connection between all beings. Every note he plays is an offering of healing and comfort, carrying with it the deep spiritual heritage of his People.
