Laurent Mckenzie

Laurent Mckenzie, Innu from Pessamit, learned to play the guitar at the age of 13. As a singer-songwriter, he formed his first band Innu Pacific and produced an album in 1997. A few years later, he returned to the music scene with his solo album, Kanuelim, where he sings his own compositions. Laurent Mckenzie has also participated in many events in several indigenous communities across the province such as the Mamu contest, as well as shows such as TAM presented on APTN in 2009.
