Mikon Niquay-Ottawa is an Atikamekw from the community of Manawan. It was in 1994 that she performed for the first time in her community "I played the flute alone on stage, and I was really nervous. I think I played the shortest version of Vive le vent in History.’’ Great music fan, her style reflects her taste for blues as well as for traditional music. For Mikon, composing is a cry from the heart to express and to assert herself. She wants to travel with her music and to meet other artists who share her passion.
