Biography

Scott-Pien Picard, born November 14, 1996 in Sept-Îles (Quebec, Canada), is an Innu songwriter from the community of Uashat Mak Maliotenam. He writes his songs mostly in his first language (Innu).It was around the age of 6 that he started the music and began to perform for shows in his community. Inspired by the band Maten and Kashtin during his youth, he began to be passionate about music.He participated in a TV show "Le Rhythme 3" in Montreal in 2015, directed by singer-songwriter Samian, and took part in an event bringing together natives and non-natives called "Nikamun Mamuitun" (songs gatherers) at the Petite Vallée in 2017. He is now active on the indigenous musical scene and performing in several communities of Quebec.He is currently producing his first album at Maliotenam's studio Makusham in collaboration with Florent Vollant, Kim Fontaine, Ivan Boivin Flamand, Réjean Bouchard, Louis-Philippe Boivin and Mathieu Mckenzie.
