Claude Mckenzie

Claude Mckenzie is an Innu artist known as a member of the duo Kashtin with Florent Vollant. This group was in the 1980s, the greatest commercial and international success in the history of the First Nations, when the song E Uassiuian was hummed around the world. Claude Mckenzie has since released a few solo projects, and we rediscover him in October 2019 with his song Shakani. His new album, produced with Musique Nomade (2021), marks his great return on the music scene, ten years after his last release. Once again, Claude Mckenzie shows his natural and undeniable talent; his bright melodies and catchy chorus are a source of hope and happiness, far from the small and great miseries that life brings.
