Dan-Georges Mckenzie is an Innu singer-songwriter from the community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam, on the North Shore (Côte-Nord). Noticed in 2019 by Musique Nomade, he created his first song Nishim, dedicated to his twin brother. Produced remotely, in full confinement with the MN team (Simon Walls and Sylvaine Arnaud) and in collaboration with the Makusham studio, he launched his first EP in the winter of 2022. In his luminous folk-pop songs, Dan talks about resilience, love and family. On stage, he has an undeniable charisma, he has the art of gathering a crowd, loves to entertain people and he will certainly make you want to sing in Innu-aimun.
