Biography
Eadsé, whose name means ‘my good friend’ in Wendat, is a Wendat singer-songwriter based in Montreal, where she explores soul-tinged pop music. Heir to the traditions of her ancestors, she finds in her grandfather, from the wolf clan and the crow family, a guide to music. Since then, she has been creating works that are both moving and powerful, with a gentle and sincere force.
In 2021, she released her first EP, My Good Friend, in collaboration with composer and artist Emmanuel Alias. Her instrumental song Oné-Onti, dedicated to the former grand chief of Wendake, Max Gros-Louis, has reached over six million plays online. In the summer of 2022, she unveiled her new song Stay, a summery pop ballad with electro-soul melodies recorded with producer Trey Vittetoe, who has worked with Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, among others.
In the fall of 2024, Eadsé captivated audiences during the blind auditions for the show La Voix with her emotional rendition of Elisapie's Moi, Elsie. Eadsé composed the soundtrack for the video game Two Falls (Nishu Takuatshina), released in autumn 2024, which was created in collaboration with a group of Indigenous creators. After releasing Owen II and I'll Keep Dreaming in late 2024 and early 2025, Eadsé presents Healer, her long-awaited debut album, on 7 March 2025. Infused with R&B influences, this pop-soul album stands out for its emotional intensity and soothing power. Carried by immersive arrangements and Eadsé's captivating voice, it explores profound themes such as self-love, determination, letting go and postpartum depression. Sung in French, English, and Wendat, Healer is an introspective journey toward well-being. She also participated in the Musique Nomade stopover in Wendake, where she recorded her single Tout recommencer. It is a luminous pop song where her gentle yet assertive voice blends with the warmth of the acoustic guitar and the softness of the strings.
In recognition of her talent and artistic dedication, Eadsé was selected as one of Radio-Canada's 2025-2026 Revelations, an honour that highlights the most promising emerging artists on the Quebec music scene. She was also nominated in the Indigenous Artist of the Year category at the ADISQ Gala. Her album Healer was nominated in the Soul/R&B category at the GAMIQ and was considered for the Best Regional Roots Music Album category at the Grammys.
